My Interests and Likes...
I really
enjoy reading, most of it is Sci-Fi, especially time travel. I do like
some fantasy, as well as classics like "The Old Man and the Sea",
"Diary of Anne Frank" and "Romeo and Juliet". I'll re-read books I've
enjoyed over and over
again, it doesn't matter if I know the story already, or how it will
end. A good book is someone and somewhere you want to visit again and
again.
Top favorite books are most likely "Logans Run", "Battlefield Earth", "Number of the Beast", The Spellsinger Series, The M.Y.T.H. Series, The Hitchhiker Series, The Amber Series, "To the Vanishing Point", The Ring World Series, The Harry Potter Series, "Four Lords of the Diamond". There are so many more I could list, by Heinlein, Foster, Asprin, Addams, Zalazny, etc and so on. So many books, so many titles, so many authors, so many read, and so many to read and re-read.
I enjoy playing games, mainly computer games, different types, adventure, simulation, shoot em up, but I do also enjoy board games as well. I have played and finished (most several times) almost all of the Sierra Quest games; Kings, Space, Glory, Larry, Police, ect. The several Indiana Jones games, Star Trek 25th and Judgment Rites, All the Monkey Islands, on and on. If you can think of it, I more then likely have played it.
While adventure games are very enjoyable, I've
found I've developed a
taste for first person shoot em up type games. Started with Wolfenstine
3d, couldn't get enough of it. Then came Doom 1 and 2, played both to
death. Then new ones
came out Descent, Heretic, Hexen, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, Half
Life, Aliens
vs Predator, any of the Jedi Knights, ect and so on. Alone they are
fun, co-op better, I'll also get
online
and do a little death matching now and again.
For four years I had played the Massively Multiplayer On Line Game
EverQuest, but got seriously burned out on that and quit it in late
2003. I have been seen running
around the virtual world of Second Life.
My recent games of choice have been F.E.A.R., F.E.A.R. Extraction
Point, F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate, Half Life 2 (Waiting on Episode 3),
Portal, and Unreal Tournament 2004.
I'll admit I'm also a movie or Tv show
collection junkie, other then a good book, I really enjoy watching a
good show. Like a good story in a book, I have no problem with
re-watching a good movie or Tv show over again, maybe this is why my
current movie/Tv collection is up to over 575. I've also got them
listed here on my web site, it pretty up to date, every time I acquire
a new one I update the movies page.
I like spending time with my friends, either to game or to just hang out. Talk about important stuff, watch or go to a movie, dinner, or just shoot the bull about nothing special at all. We joke, we laugh, we get mad at each other. In the end it we are always friends, a true friend will always be there for you and you'll do the same in return. I'd like to think i'm loyal, dependable and value the friends I've got very highly.
